Taylor Swift Thanks Alan Jackson for Being an ‘Example’ to Her at a Young Age in Sweet Video

Taylor Swift gave Alan Jackson his flowers on the country icon’s final concert on Saturday (June 27), dropping in via video message to thank him for his influence on her life and career.
Playing over big screens at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, the clip showed the pop star saying that her favorite song of Jackson’s is “Drive,” because “in that song you really paint such a picture.”
“That was an example that was so good for me to see at a young age, of an artist really just letting fans into the details of his life,” she continued. “I appreciate you so much for the ways you have treated me and other artists and writers with such support and encouragement over the years.”
The 14-time Grammy winner was one of several artists that night who honored Jackson, who officially tied a bow on his three-decade touring career with the Nashville showcase. Billed as Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale, it also featured clips recorded by Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Keith Urban and Zac Brown, as well as guest performances from George Strait, Luke Combs, Eric Church and Carrie Underwood. Portions of the triumphant victory lap were filmed for an NBC special that will air at a later date.
Swift’s cameo came at a busy time for the Eras headliner, whom the Songwriters Hall of Fame recently inducted into its esteemed ranks. She gave a speech at the ceremony, which came on the heels of the release of “I Knew It, I Knew You,” her original song for Toy Story 5 that has since become her 15th Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit.
Swift is also widely rumored to be tying the knot with fiancé Travis Kelce in a matter of days, with their wedding reportedly set for Fourth of July weekend at Madison Square Garden.
