Venus In Virgo Is Here — & You’ll Want To Guard Your Heart

From July 9th to August 8th, Venus in Virgo is here making a splash in our lives. This summer, Venus has a stiff upper lip in Virgo, as it uses facts to make decisions. We will guard our hearts and wallets to avoid being hurt or taken for granted. There will be moments when we cannot hold back our feelings though.

In astrology, we consider this placement to be in the fall of Venus. The reason is that Venus, a romantic planet, usually gives unconditional vibes and offers sentimental words to those who hold a place in its heart. Venus in Virgo can be a little tricky in the sense that it asks for tangibility instead of feelings, which opposes the emotional depth that the planet possesses at the core. This doesn’t mean that people who have Venus in Virgo are doomed — just that they define it on their own terms.

Venus in Virgo has extremely high standards when it comes to who they partner with. This transit makes us a tad prissy in our behavior or expectations when joining forces with others to ensure that the ones we choose to love are at the level we deserve and require. However, this placement isn’t uptight all the time. It does have a fun and sensitive side, shown through acts of kindness and service. Instead of sending flowers and chocolate to the person we adore, Venus in Virgo suggests practicality in showcasing affection — an example of such is to make them a cup of coffee in the morning, clean their apartment, or rub their feet. Venus in Virgo is not ostentatious, but direct and sincere.

When it comes to finances, because Venus represents money as well, we may be fragile with our summer budgets. Rather than purchasing frosé, we’ll settle for a house white (not that there is anything wrong with that). The expanse speaks to the objective of avoiding indulging in items that don’t have a return policy. We will come to understand that we have what we need and anything above that is unnecessary.

This year, Venus in Virgo is going to take emotional hits from the four retrogrades: Mercury in Cancer, Saturn in Aries, Neptune in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius. The minor frustrations, from Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto to Venus, are known as an inconjunct or quincunx, and they are prompting us to reassess our boundaries. Being careful about who we surround ourselves with is vital because the gaslighting will be extreme — so much so that we’ll begin to blame ourselves for how people treat us. Their behavior is not our fault, nor do we have to stand for it. Control and manipulation are other themes to be mindful of.

Since some of the planets are slowing down, we have the ability and capacity to see situations and people for who they actually are. If they act out of pocket and push limits, we can walk away or leave them on read. This isn’t the time to give second, third, or fourth chances — once our eyes are opened, we will be unable to go back. The ick factor is a vibe! Knowing our worth surpasses everything else; that is how we move forward.
