Long before smartphones, flat-screen TVs and AI dominated our lives, T3 Magazine was launched in the U.K as a celebration of the most desirable tech. Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, the annual T3 Awards are back to honor not only the best products you can currently buy, but also to pay tribute to what got us here.

This year’s event features 84 awards across 10 distinct categories, covering everything from smart home gear and air fryers to cutting-edge wearables and automotive design.

To crown the winners of the four prestigious Design Awards (Active, Home, Tech, and Auto), T3 assembled a panel of top-tier industry experts. We are proud to share that Tom’s Guide’s very own Mark Spoonauer joined the judging lineup this year, alongside elite editors from TechRadar, Wallpaper*, Shortlist, and SheerLuxe.

In honor of the 30th anniversary, T3 introduced three special landmark categories to celebrate the tech that shaped our generation:

Person of the Year: Apple CEO Tim Cook

British Icon: Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the World Wide Web)

Biggest Product in T3’s Lifetime: The Apple iPod

“The iPod was more than just a product; it was a revolution of the whole music industry,” said Mat Gallagher, T3’s Editor-in-Chief.

“What started with 1,000 songs in your pocket introduced the world to iTunes and paying for digital music. Though ultimately, the iPhone made the iPod redundant, without the iPod the iPhone wouldn’t have existed.”

How to follow the winners

T3's week-long celebration is currently rolling out over the course of this week. The Home awards kicked things off on Monday, July 6, followed by the Active and Auto categories on July 7.

The core Technology awards dropped on Wednesday, July 8, before the event wraps up with the highly anticipated Headline and Design awards today, Thursday, July 9.
